Darrick W. Eugene is a licensed attorney.Mr. Eugene has experience with state law and regulations regarding a variety of regulated industries including oil and gas, carbon sequestration, renewable energy and utilities.Mr. Eugene completed the interconnect agreement for a major wind farm in the state and helps renewable energy developers navigate the Texas Tax Code to receive valuable tax incentives.Mr. Eugene is skilled in legislative drafting and is responsible for state legislation and rules overseeing carbon reductions through geologic storage.

High Road Energy Marketing (HREM) is developing a Black and minority farmers/ranchers initiative to introduce those communities to the promise of renewable energy as a means of operational sustainability, as well as to preserve and protect their land and heritage.
As a minority/woman owned firm, we understand first-hand the importance of DEIJ initiatives and the role of community impact and engagement.

- Overcome historic resistance and skepticism through scholarships for new and innovative farming techniques that promote the coexistence of agriculture and renewables
